Today, we look into the Kenya SGR which is still the largest infrastructure project in the country`s history. Conceived in 2008 as part of the Northern Corridor Initiative, the SGR still stands as a monumental infrastructure project aimed at linking Kenya’s coast to the Great Lakes region. The SGR was envisioned to cut travel time, lower transport costs and boost economic growth.

Today, we look into the Nairobi Expressway which is the first and still the only tolled road project in Kenya post the 2010 constitution. The 27.1 kilometer toll road was constructed under a public-private partnership between the Government of Kenya (GoK) and the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) on a Build Operate Transfer (BOT) Model. It was commissioned in July 2022.
